Historic Royal Palaces Adult Learning Brochures

Project Type:
Print

Client:
Historic Royal Palaces

Historic Royal Palaces is the organisation responsible for some of London’s finest palaces: The Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Banqueting House, Kensington Palace, and Kew Palace.

I put together a series of brochures for the fantastic courses they offer under their Adult Learning programme, with a brief that asked me to clean up the navigation from their existing brochures, to feature their branding more prominently, and to add in more colour.

For the first version, above, I created stamped and hand-rendered lettering based on their corporate typeface, and completely revised the brochure layout to make it really easy to work out what was going on where. I also put together a new library of photography for them, creating a more contemporary feel for the courses.

Attendance for the courses subsequently improved dramatically, with several selling out entirely, which is always great to hear.

The following year, for the Summer School, I commissioned artist Petra Börner to create a wraparound heraldic illustration for the cover.

“The design works really well… and has given the season a stand-out look from other HRP material and our past brochures. We look forward to working together again in the future!”
